Job Description

The Banquet Coordinator for Mama Shelter BELGRADE is responsible to offer all assistance possible to guests, efficient and flexible service consistent with Mama Standards, Policies & Procedures in order to maximize guest satisfaction. Also is responsible to direct, oversee and plan events and activities of the hotel, while reporting to the F&B Manager and Director of Sales.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting to F&B sectors with the daily operations of all scheduled banquet events.
  • Inspect all rooms prior to the function to ensure they are set according to the BEO and special guests’ requests.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of all banquet supplies
  • Responsible for coordinating the delivery of all food and beverage for functions held in the MAMA
  • Complete weekly events schedules. Schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service.
  • Keeps close contacts and coordinates on a daily basis with Sales, F&B, Front desk and all the others concerned.
  • Deal effectively with both guests and workplace colleagues from different departments in a polite manner.
  • Establishes, maintains and expands the customer base.
  • Prospects new customers and creates customer loyalty by ensuring their satisfaction.Boosts awareness of Mama Shelter in BELGRADE and on the market, be present during the main local events.
  • In charge of welcoming celebrities, VIPs and key accounts representatives.
  • Collects customer feedback and guest survey.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricing, sales and activity reports.


Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous experience in supervising/managing in a high volume hotel or restaurant.
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel banquet experience
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and good knowledge of English language. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and wants of guests while balancing business needs of the Company.
  • Formal education: minimum high school diploma.
  • Good understanding of products
  • understanding of health and security standards
