DevOps Engineer

What will be your job?

• As part of the international DevOps team and together with your peers, you will be responsible for selecting the best possible tools, setting these up, and rolling them out across the R&D organization. On one hand, you will work on all the infrastructure that our R&D development teams use to build and deploy software. On the other hand, you will contribute to all operational and procedural activities that are needed to have Meridian 24/7 available for end-users.
  
• You will work in a scrum team, together you will develop and maintain our Microsoft Azure based infrastructure for continuous delivery pipelines and research new tools and techniques to improve those. With your efforts, you maintain and improve our Continuous Delivery Infrastructure, and ensure compliancey. Other than that, you are responsible for disaster recovery and ensure the security of our product. Additionally, your responsibility will be to conduct forward-leaning technology investigations (spikes).

What are our requirements?

• Ideally, you have at least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar, experience working in an agile/SCRUM environment and have about 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Because of your experience, you understand the need for automation and the power of integrated continuous delivery of pipelines.
  
• You are fluent in English, both written and verbal and have the skills to communicate effectively to different internal and external stakeholders, recognize important information, and make connections between data. Within our fast-moving environment, you will be able to shift priorities, demands, and timelines in a self-directed manner.

The technical experience you need to bring:

• Knowledge of Azure and best cloud security practices
• Infrastructure-as-Code, using PowerShell + ARM templates.
• Experience with production environments monitoring, especially:
• AKS (or any other k8s flavor)
• Elasticsearch
• Dashboarding
• Experience building and hosting .Net services (C#)
• PowerShell
• Experience with planning and executing Disaster Recovery tests
• Understanding of Compliance requirements (preferably SOC2 type II)
• Know how to translate work into operating procedures (SoP)
• Working knowledge of containerized solutions (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with TeamCity, Octopus, SonarQube, Chef is a pre.
