Objective: The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving great drinks in accordance with guests’ needs, ensuring guests receive excellent service while meeting and exceeding their expectations. Through interaction with quests, maintain positive guest relations and ensure they have a great experience with MAMA Shelter.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets guests
• Takes orders
• Preparing all items needed for service while ensuring guests receive excellent service
• Anticipates needs and wants of guests, recommends and suggests to guests in choosing drinks and food
• Pours and servers all beverages in the bar
• Makes great cocktails and mocktails
• Performs duties within the framework of the F&B department and general hotel standards and directives
• Ensures guests complaints are promptly addressed by management
• Contributes to cleanliness of the workplace
• Maintains stock of various service items
• Follows proper money handling procedures
• Maintains safe work habits and work environment
• Cross trains as needed

Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a high volume bar, restaurant, hotel
• Demonstrate good knowledge of food and beverage products
• Excellent communication skills
• Listens and is available
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Ability to anticipate needs and wants of guests while balancing business needs of the company
• Creative
• Dependable and trustworthy
• Solid work ethic
• Works great in a team
• Meticulous and responsive
• Computer software skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
