Financial Controller – Construction f/m

Job description and responsibilities:

• Preparation of timely and detailed monthly reports and analysis of financial performance, including commentary on variances
• Preparation of the annual budget and rolling financial forecasts and report variances
  
• Monitoring and analysis of OPEX
• Preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested
• Constant awareness of the company’s financial position
  
• Ensuring that the company’s financial systems are robust, compliant and in accordance with current activities and future growth
  
• Responsibility for monitoring the company’s cash flow and preparation of cash flow forecast
  
• AR/AP Management
  
• Supporting audit and internal control operations
  
• Providing detailed reports on construction projects’ progress, cash flow, profitability and reconciliations, payables and receivables management
  
• Close cooperation with other internal functions including technical preparation, implementation, design, procurement and project management
  
• Carrying out the instructions of the Finance Director
  

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related discipline
  
• Proven experience as financial controller or similar role
  
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and best practices
  
• 5+ years financial management/controlling experience
  
• 3+ years in a similar role
  
• Knowledgeable and up to date on Serbian tax legislation and accounting standards
  
• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) is a distinctive advantage
  
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus
  
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
  
• Multinational experience is a plus
  
• Good command of English is a must, both verbally and in writing
  
• Knowledge of Pantheon accounting software is an advantage
