Civil Engineer- Contract Manager (f/m)

Job description and responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the clauses and specific aspects of commercial contracts are complied with company policy
• Preparation of the subcontract’s agreements and annexes
• Managing relationships with Legal vendors/Lawyers
• Updating and enriching the legal databases (contractual models, templates, guides)
• Evaluation of the contractual issues and considerations in construction contract enforcement
• Analysing, preparation of the Claims for ongoing projects - Claim management
• Management and administration (Drafting, Evaluation, Negotiation and Execution) a wide variety of contracts in the construction industry
• Analysing requests for proposals and contract terms in tender procedure
• Drafting of reports and records required by the direct superior
• Developing and updating schedules and work situations based on contractual obligations
• Serving as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters
• Providing guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures
• Ensuring contract close-out, extension or renewal
• Providing support to project managers in terms of contract documentation interpretation

Requirements:

• University Degree in Civil Engineering
• Advantage: Possession of a license for responsible contractor and for responsible designer (310; 410)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Advantage: Experience in public procurement tenders, private procurement tenders, EBRD procurement etc.
• Knowledge of the FIDIC Contracts is a must
• Advanced user of the following programs: MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project
• Active knowledge of English language is a must
• Driver’s licence B category
