Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
  • seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • generate customers
  • meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
  • understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • draw up client contracts
  • have a good understanding of the businesses products or services and be able to advise others about them
  • form a team and train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
  • discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • cooperate with all in-house team as appropriate
  • seek ways of improving the way the business operates
  • attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
  • keep up with trends and changes in the construction business world.


  • University degree in Economics / Business / Management / Marketing or another related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales / business development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in English language (spoken and written). German language is a plus
  • Good understanding of construction
  • Proven ability to assess and respond to RFQs / RFPs, NDAs and contracts
  • Experience building and managing personal relationships with clients
  • Experience in tender processes
  • Construction industry experience strongly preferred
  • A highly motivated individual, persistence, hard working and determined
  • Proven work experience
  • Experienced driver

  • Domestic national
