Senior Java/JEE System Engineer
Your responsibilities include a variety of challenging tasks:
Oversight, planning, and technical guidance to ensure successful delivery of expected results
Engineering/Maintaining of a secure and standardized runtime environment for Java EE applications based on JBoss and Weblogic (including different integration options like e.g. WebServices).
Deployment support of Third-Party applications on the internal Java EE platform and as well on other Java EE containers
Troubleshooting of applications running on any Java EE platform (especially solving memory and performance issues).
The ideal candidate hired into this position should have the following key skills /experience:
University degree in computer science (or equivalent)
Extensive experience in system integration/engineering for a JEE container (JBoss would be preferable)
A strong knowledge in Java EE concepts/standards, Java related standards and XML technologies
Hands on experience in troubleshooting complex problems that involve JEE container, network, server infrastructure, as well as applications
A strong knowledge in Java based Open Source projects/frameworks (e.g. Apache Tomcat / JBoss Application Server, others ...)
Knowledge of tools such as Eclipse, Maven, ANT
Good understanding of the Java VM technology
Experience in operating a distributed Java EE based application environment.
Experience in Unix/Linux problem analysis will be considered as asset
Basic understanding of Security technologies (PKI, TLS)
Basic understanding of Network Technologies & Protocols (Firewalls, TCP/IP, HTTP)
Written and oral communication skills in English
Knowledge of German will be considered as an asset
Ability to travel abroad (Zurich, Switzerland)
