Business Development Director - Construction (f/m)

Job description and responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the company’s business development function
• Development of an entrepreneurial and technological business strategy for the business
• Coordinating the operation of the business development team to achieve the goals of the annual business plan
• Defining customer management processes, professionally supervising, managing and coordinating business activities in these areas
• Building, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure that the company can successfully participate in private and public tenders
• Providing information and analysis needed to develop a business strategy
• Exploring new market opportunities and ensuring quick responses to them
• Providing policies, guidelines and procedures for the operation of the company’s new business and tender management activities
• Leading and coordinating preparation of competitive bids and related design work, signing-off bids before its release and ensuring compliance with the provisions of company/group policies
• Leading contract negotiations and finalizing commercial contracts with clients
• Supporting the flawless execution of construction projects
• Establishing and maintaining a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with external parties

Requirements:

• University degree in Engineering (MBA a plus)
• 5+ years in a similar role (in the construction industry)
• 2+ years leading a team of professionals
• Excellent knowledge of English language
• Understanding of pricing in industrial construction and knowledge of construction technology
• Tender documentation management experience
• FIDIC contract experience
• Proficient user of MS Office and AutoCAD
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
